This privacy policy applies to Denstar Fitness, operated at denstarfitness.com and denstarfitness.com/tools. The site is owned and operated by Dennis Kiplimo.

• IP address — collected by our web server and analytics services. Google Analytics anonymises IP addresses.
• Search performance data — search queries, impressions, and clicks via Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. This data is aggregated and not linked to individual users.

We do not collect payment information, health records, or sensitive personal data of any kind.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To respond to contact form enquiries
• To understand how visitors use the site and improve content and tools
• To monitor site performance and fix technical issues
• To analyse search performance and improve SEO

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

Denstar Fitness uses the following third-party services that may process your data:

Google Analytics — collects anonymised usage data including pages visited, session duration, device type, and approximate location. Data is processed by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

Google Search Console — provides aggregated search performance data (queries, impressions, clicks). No individual user data is collected or stored by us through GSC.

Bing Webmaster Tools — provides aggregated search performance data for Bing search. No individual user data is collected or stored by us.

Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) — used to deliver email notifications when a contact form is submitted. Your name and email address are transmitted to Brevo for delivery purposes only and are not used for marketing. Brevo's Privacy Policy applies.

WPForms — the contact form plugin used on this site. Form submissions are processed through WPForms and delivered via Brevo. WPForms Lite does not store form entries in the database.

Namecheap / cPanel hosting — the website is hosted on shared hosting provided by Namecheap. Server access logs may record IP addresses and request data in accordance with Namecheap's Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies

Denstar Fitness uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — to enable site functionality and analytics.

Essential cookies:

• WordPress sets cookies to manage sessions and remember your preferences (e.g. light/dark mode via localStorage).

Analytics cookies:

• Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga and _gid) to distinguish users and sessions and collect anonymised usage data.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site or its tools.

6. Fitness Calculator Tools

All 48+ fitness calculators on denstarfitness.com/tools run entirely in your browser. Any data you enter — weight, height, age, training volumes, or other inputs — is processed locally on your device.

Where tools include a data logging feature (such as the Weight Tracker), your data is stored in your browser's localStorage. It is not uploaded to our servers, not shared with any third party, and is not accessible to us in any form.

Clearing your browser's site data will permanently delete any locally stored tool data. We recommend using the CSV export feature in applicable tools to back up your data.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

• Contact form messages — retained in our email inbox for as long as needed to respond and resolve the enquiry. We do not maintain a separate database of contact form submissions.
• Analytics data — Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default. This can be adjusted in Google Analytics settings.
• Server logs — access logs are retained by our hosting provider in accordance with their standard retention policies.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights over your personal data under applicable privacy laws including the GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), and similar regulations. These rights may include:

• Right of access — to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — to request deletion of your personal data
• Right to restrict processing — to request that we limit how we use your data
• Right to object — to object to processing of your personal data

Denstar Fitness is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, please contact us at dennis@denstarfitness.com and we will delete it promptly.
